A dangerous accident occurred on the morning of September 19, 2026, during the "Racing Championship - Laamu Edition" held in L. Gan. The incident happened when a motorcycle driven in the competition lost control and fell into the sea along with the rider. Police informed that a 20-year-old Maldivian youth sustained serious injuries in this accident. In connection with those injuries, he is currently receiving treatment in the ICU of L. Gan Regional Hospital, while police are investigating the cause of the incident.
