On December 29, 2025, STELCO conducted significant work to expand its services and strengthen utility infrastructure. These development projects aim to enhance service quality and ensure the sustainable delivery of essential basic services to the public.
Under the projects initiated by STELCO to develop the utility infrastructure of the Maldives, significant work has been carried out to establish new power plants and water systems by December 29, 2025. As part of this development, electricity services have been further strengthened, and practical efforts to modernize and repair utility facilities in the atolls have been expedited. These projects are important infrastructure works carried out to improve the quality of services provided to the public and to address the needs of increasingly populated islands.
