At the graduation ceremony of the 3rd batch of the National Service Initial Training held on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at the MNDF Composite Training Centre in Lh. Maafilaafushi, a total of 341 participants completed the training and graduated, including 279 men and 62 women. In connection with the secondary examinations scheduled to begin on 20 September, former Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid sent best wishes on 19 September 2026, wishing success to all students participating in the examinations, as well as to parents and teachers.
Students of the 3rd batch of the National Service Initial Training Course completed their training and graduated on Saturday, 19 September 2026. The ceremony, held at the MNDF Composite Training Centre in Lh. Maafilaafushi, was graced by the Minister of Defence and National Service, Hassan Rasheed. Out of the 352 cadets from various islands across the country who took part in this training programme, 341 students graduated, including 279 male students and 62 female students. While the ceremony featured an oath-taking by the students and an honour parade, the participants who completed the course were awarded the Certificate 3 in Civic Education and Leadership.
On September 19, 2026, Abdulla Shahid sent best wishes and wished success to all students participating in the secondary examinations. He prayed for all students taking this examination to be granted ease and excellent results. In addition, noting the hard work undertaken by teachers and parents in preparing the students for the exams, he also encouraged them. Furthermore, he urged all students to believe in themselves, answer the examination questions carefully, and achieve good success.
