New deans were officially appointed to various faculties of the Islamic University of Maldives on 17 September 2026. In this regard, individuals were appointed to the relevant positions to strengthen the university's governance and further develop the academic and administrative work of the faculties. With the appointment of the deans as the heads of the faculties, all academic matters and administrative responsibilities of those faculties have been entrusted to them. This is an important step taken to expand the role of the Islamic University and further enhance the higher education services provided to students.

At the prize-giving ceremony held by the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre (GDh. AEC), the honour of the school's most notable top students was achieved by Neem and Leem. Celebrating this proud achievement attained by these students, they were presented with well-deserved prizes and certificates. The school management, parents, and the entire school community warmly congratulated and praised Neem and Leem for this achievement alongside their excellent academic results.

Highlighted on 17 September 2026, this news stated that serving the nation upon returning after completing higher education in the business stream is of utmost importance. It was noted that utilizing the knowledge and skills of youth trained in the economic and business sectors for national development is essential to increasing national productivity and building a sustainable economy. Furthermore, students graduating from the business sector were encouraged to play a leading role in providing important services required by the nation across various fields.
