The Maldivian government has strongly condemned the dangerous drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabian oil pipelines. In a statement issued by the Maldivian government, it noted that such cowardly acts are acts of terrorism that threaten regional peace and stability as well as economic security. Furthermore, it affirmed that the Maldives will always stand steadfastly with Saudi Arabia in defending its security and safety, and will work together in solidarity against such attacks. In addition, the Maldivian government also called on the international community to work together to stop such dangerous attacks.
On September 13, 2026, the President of Sri Lanka directed strong criticism at the country's influential Rajapaksa family. In his speech, the President criticized the actions and political decisions carried out during the family's rule, stating that the family must bear responsibility for the economic and social challenges faced by the nation. Furthermore, the President highlighted in his remarks the importance of establishing a governance system free from family influence in order to strengthen Sri Lanka's political landscape and system of governance, and to reform the administration of the country.
