LatestSome sports projects have been handed over to the Dhivehi Sifainge Company, SIFCO (SIVEC), today. Under these agreements, the work of establishing sports infrastructure in various regions of the Maldives will be carried out under the supervision of the Military Welfare Company. These projects are part of the government's efforts to develop sports facilities and build quality fields and courts. These projects were handed over to SIFCO with the aim of completing them to a high standard within the stipulated period.

According to information publicized by the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) on January 1, 2026, it has been decided to initiate new projects with special priority given to advancing women's football in the Maldives. Under this endeavor, FAM aims to enhance the skills of female players, increase the number of tournaments held at the national level, and provide more opportunities for girls through football. Furthermore, the organization has revealed that special efforts will be made this new year to expand the resources and training programs needed for the development of women's football throughout the Maldives.
