Under an important agreement signed today between the Maldivian government and SIVEC, it has been decided to carry out 20 sports projects in 17 islands of the Maldives. At this ceremony held on 31 December 2025, it was decided to start the practical work of developing sports facilities and fields in different islands under this agreement. These projects are an important part of the government's efforts to establish modern facilities needed for the youth of the islands to progress in the field of sports. It is believed that these 20 projects, launched with the aim of developing sports infrastructure in the atolls, will raise the standard of sports in the 17 selected islands.
