The Dhivehi Language Academy has opened participation until October 8 for the Maldives' first national handwriting competition held for the Ali Fahmy Memorial Trophy. The opportunity to participate in Maldives' first National Handwriting Competition 2026, held for the Ali Fahmy Rolling Trophy, was opened to the public via the Maldives Government Gazette on 22 September 2026. Organized by the Dhivehi Academy, the competition is scheduled to proceed in two main categories: an office category and an individual category. The contest will feature three main disciplines: calligraphy, speedwriting, and artisanal/creative handwriting. Those wishing to participate have been provided the opportunity to register via an online form until 8 October 2026.
