While preparations are underway to hold the Maldives National University's annual book fair, it is scheduled to be officially inaugurated by the Minister of State for Higher Education, Dr. Abdulla Nazeer. In addition, an EdTech company called 'Syllabi' has introduced the 'Syllabi Exam Prep' digital platform, which has begun being used in over 70 schools in the Maldives to assist students preparing for O-Level and A-Level examinations. Meanwhile, Ambassador Dr. Fazeel Najeeb spoke highlighting the importance of acquiring modern resources and technological knowledge.

This fair is an event conducted with the objective of generating an interest in reading among students and the general public, and facilitating easy access to valuable books and research works from various fields in a single venue. Organized by the university, the fair showcases books by prominent Maldivian writers and publishers, as well as educational institutions, making them available for public purchase.
Syllabi, a Maldivian educational technology platform, has introduced a digital practice platform named 'Syllabi Exam Prep' specifically for students preparing for O-Level and A-Level examinations. Designed aligned with the national curriculum, this platform is a resource compiled to provide revision notes, practice questions, and detailed answer explanations in one place. Furthermore, gamified features have also been included in this platform, allowing students to earn points by completing quizzes and compete against other students on a nationwide leaderboard. Easily accessible from devices such as laptops, smartphones, and tablets, the platform focuses on Islam in its first phase, with plans to introduce additional subjects in the future.
Acquiring knowledge and skills in modern resources is an absolute necessity and extremely important in today's world, the Ambassador of the Maldives, Dr. Fazeel Najeeb, highlighted on September 04, 2026.
